DGS Marine Group at Posidonia Exhibition, Athens

The world’s largest sea transportation business fair, Posidonia 2010 opened its’ doors in Athens on Monday June 7 setting a historic contribution record of 1,855 exhibitors from some 87 countries. Over 17,000 worldwide trade guests visited the five-day event which, spread across some 31,000 square meters of the Athena’s Waterfront Hellenikon Exhibition Centre (HEC).
At the Cyprus Department of Merchant Shipping and under the Cyprus Shipping Chamber banner the DGS Group participated as exhibitor together with nine other Cyprus based Shipping Companies, Ship Management Companies / Marine Service Providers:

The DGS Group was represented by Managing Director David G. Skinner and Limassol/ Cyprus Office Executive Director Holger R. Cahnbley.
We were also invited to attend the Cyprus government cocktail reception hoisted by the Minister of Communication and Works, Mrs. Erato Kozakou-Marcoullis at the Athenaeum Intercontinental Hotel, Athens for selected guests.
We were very encouraged by the reception the group received overall from many of the guests that visited us at the stand and established contacts made with the International Shipping Community and the local Greek Shipping environment which accounts for 15% of the world’s tonnage.
The event was a great success for the DGS Marine Group, and we will return to Posidonia in two years time.
